Indian IT/BPO sector may see a 50% drop in hiring while growing at 8% this year.

People are losing their jobs after reaching 40 in IT/BPO sector in India. The recent cut down in H1B approvals in US is also accompanied with IT outsourcing contracts. The competition is fierce and price deflation in bidding for contracts necessiate use of Machine learning, automation, Natural Lanuage Processing and AI. The worst hit is Indian campus of Big 6 Indian IT service sector firms.

According to some analysts India may see some massive unemployment in the next five years in IT/BPO sector.
